Sudarshan Churna (SuCh), a widely used Ayurvedic medicine, is described in Bhaishajya Ratnavali, Yogratnagar, Ayurvedic Saar Sangrah, Ras Tantra Saar va Sidh Prayog Sangrah, and Yog Trangini; therefore, it is one of the main therapeutic options used by Ayurvedic clinicians to treat a variety of fevers. However, upon closer examination of the classical literature, the authors find that it is not only useful for treating fevers but also has the ability to cure various infections and diseases. Because this ausadh is a multifaceted prescription, the pharmacodynamics of SuCh must be examined to assess its various dynamics and functions. Furthermore, this study illustrates the ambiguous nature of the pharmacodynamics of SuCh. The lack of field investigations is by far the greatest gap in the current understanding of the medical claims of SuCh. Hence, researchers must perform more ambient exercises to a great extent to answer the hidden aspects of its medical applications. Apart from the wide-ranging study for a search of long-term strategies, it is more authoritative to harmonize the present-day research trends with the outputs of conducted trials till date. This article freshly examines the recent ayurvedic research findings to suggest an updated clinical methodology for a healthier treatment using Sudarshan Churna (SuCh).
